The Craft of Journaling w Brighton Rose – October 2021 Meeting

Date(s) - 10/30/2021
9:30 am - 11:30 am

This month, writer and doodler Brighton Rose will show us how she uses journaling to aid in writing (and balancing she balances both with a day job). Her engaging journaling photos and reels can be found on Instagram at We encourage you to journal along during the meeting!

Brighton Rose is a middle grade and young adult fantasy writer specializing in sky pirates and girls who lie. She’s an Author Mentor Match mentee, Pitch Wars mentee, and occasional doodler. Other skills include origami (she can make a parakeet in under 30 seconds), cooking brunch (she can make gourmet French toast in under 30 minutes), and not growing very tall (she can reach 5’2″ in under 30 years). She lives in central Texas with an electric piano and 48 houseplants. You’re most likely to find her at a cheap taco place or at a used bookstore, stretching to reach the top shelf.

Until further notice, all monthly meetings will take place via Zoom. Please register in advance to receive login information (you will get an email with the Zoom meeting ID and password the night before the event). As usual, our meetings are free and open to the public. We encourage you to invite members of the Brazos Valley writing community to join us!

Can’t make the meeting? Don’t worry! A replay will be provided for all registrants after the meeting and will also be posted on the SCBWI Brazos Valley private Facebook group (join here:
