Our next meeting topic is TBD! Have an idea for a presentation, conversation or workshop? Email brazosvalley-ra@scbwi.org to let us know. Guest speakers receive $50 for a one hour meeting. Guest speakers can attend virtually or in-person via zoom and the RA can work with you to create a presentation that suits your preferences (formal power point, interview, etc). This is a good chance to:
- practice public speaking with a small, welcoming audience
- give yourself paid motivation to research a specific publishing topic (we all need a push sometimes)
- beta-test workshops and presentations
- share your expertise with the community
As usual, our meetings are free and open to the public. We encourage you to invite members of the Brazos Valley writing community to join us! Attendees are welcome to join us via Zoom as well. SCBWI members will automatically receive login information via email, non-members can register for free on the event page. A replay will be provided to all SCBWI members and registered guests and will also be posted on the Members Only SCBWI Brazos Valley private Facebook group (join here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/SCBWIBVprivategroup/).
We strongly encourage attendees to wear masks during our in-person meetings for the safety of our members and the wider community.
