Guest speaker Molly Blaisdell will lead her popular yearly workshop for getting your creative goals on paper. This workshop is the perfect way to get organized, inspired and kick 2023 into creative mode. Come prepared with a journal/loose paper and an open mind. Additional crafting supplies (fun, but not necessary):

  • tape or gluestick
  • markers
  • magazines to cut out

Gentle Critique info:

The meeting will be preceded by a Gentle Critique session from 9:30-10am. If you’d like to share your work in progress with others and receive or provide feedback, please bring printed copies of up to 5 pages of a manuscript to share. Zoom participants will be allowed to screen share in order to receive feedback. Please see this handy guide on critique etiquette if this will be your first time participating in a critique:

About Molly Blaisdell:

Molly Blaisdell is a dash of fun, mixed in with some smart cookie and a splash of capable. She’s the author of over 30 books for young children, including THE BIG FUZZY COAT (HMH, ebook), REMBRANDT AND THE BOY WHO DREW DOGS (Barron’s), and IF YOU WERE A QUADRILATERAL
(Capstone Press).

As a freelancer with hundreds of writing credits, she worked for companies like Scholastic, Hasbro, and eHOW.

As usual, our meetings are free and open to the public. We encourage you to invite members of the Brazos Valley writing community to join us!
